Christopher Van Epps 5...From the half-way mark to the very end, is the payoff. It's one giant coda, and each measure is slightly different from the others. I've heard it a hundred times so I know.

Just when you think you know how it will end, Andrews pulls the rug out from under you, laughing as you fall.

Perhaps it's more punchline than payoff. Favorite track: Watching Over My Jones.

about

A wonderfully sloppy album from the late '90s, studded with some rough gems. The title track and "Watching Over my Jones" would later be adapted/adopted by the band (Hot Walrus). "Make Up" would be used for as part of a score for a production of the Wolfgang Maria Bauer play "In the Eyes of a Stranger." None of this was planned at the time, and the album is probably better for it.

All sounds by Ethan Andrews, except for some beats that were probably sampled off a record of drum beats for DJs.

Looks good in a coonskin cap, but then you can't just wear one of those all the time without having to answer a lot of questions.
